LABOR DAY IN SPRINGDALE

It has become a family tradition for us to spend Labor Day in Springdale. Springdale is the little town just before entering Zion National Park. It is about 45 minutes drive from our house in St. George. A few years ago we discovered the Springdale City Park and the Virgin River right next to it. We like to spend the day relaxing, playing in the river, eating picnic food and snacks, and playing in the park. Occasionally we will go for a drive through Zion. This year we had visitors with us from both sides of the family. It was a fun day.

Grandpa and Grandma Puriri were visiting over the weekend. They stayed with Michael and Christana's family so we met them at the park. It was fun to play with the cousins in the water and in the park. Rakai decided to get a dog. Leopold, the English Bull Dog. Leo comes with us on family adventures and is learning how to be a part of the family.

Aunt Lillian (Grandma Scovilles sister) and her daughters (my cousins) Janet and Nancy were visiting for a few days. I went for a drive through the canyon with them and we took fun pictures. They came down to go see the plays at Tuacahn. I went with them to on Tuesday to dinner and to see Aida. They are a riot! So much fun to be with!
