HAMILTON REPORTS ON 8/8/11

Ammon is good so far today. He has an antibiotic at 3:00 P.M. and then we get to leave with a Day Pass. We can be gone for as long as 8 hours, cause that is when his next antibiotic is. He also got all cleaned up! Thanks for all of the love and prayers!

We heard great news today before we went away. A social worker came in and told us that Ammon can go back to where we are staying on Wednesday after his VAC change that day! If now Wednesday, we can for sure on Friday i believe! So that is great!

We just got back from Ammon's day pass today. We drove around for a while, and then went to the mall. Then we went to Walmart, and Ammon and I got in those mechanical chairs and were drifting between aisles and so forth. After that we went to Dairy Queen! We went back to where we are staying and ate and took a little nap. Ammon is now back at the Hospital about to get his antibiotic . . .

Ridin' free and easy.

Hamilton!

Hamilton is one of the coolest 12 year olds around. And this is why!

We love Hamilton, and are so lucky to have him in our family! [even though I did cry when I found out I was going to have another brother! But now that I have Hamilton I wouldn't have it any other way!]

Thanks for your awesome example!!!

IT'S BEEN A WHILE

I guess I have way too many blogs and the family blog gets left out.  But I thought I'd post the first day of school photos.  Hamilton - Grade 6 Asa - Grade 9 Ammon - Grade 12.

GERM FREE

Hamilton has been sick for a week. When he wants to get on the computer he uses my Playtex Glamor Gloves. He's so considerate of everyone.

MEDIEVAL FESTIVAL

"As you pass through the Tower Gates, shed 1,000 years of time - pass into the world of the Middle Ages - to the days of Knights and chivalry, dragons and fair maidens awaiting rescue! Wander through the marketplace and gaze upon authentically attired tradesman and artisans, potters, blacksmiths, millers, carpenters, glass blowers all working their trade."

So states the description of the "Days of Camelot" we attended yesterday. Asa experienced it first on Friday and insisted that I take him and Hamilton out on Saturday. We spent the day enjoying the middle ages.

Authentic period costumes, the sights, the sounds, the tastes...it was a very fun day. They ran the maze of the Dragon Dungeon and played live chess. We watched the tournament of horses and strolled through the merchant marketplace. The boys came away with a few swords and I came away with the memories.

ADVENTURES AT THE MALL

Yesterday we drove to Las Vegas to watch Rakai's rugby game. When it was over Rakai wanted to go shopping at the Outlets. Uggh! Have you ever been to this place. Frolicking through the throngs of people is not my idea of fun. Crowds and me do not go together. But we went. Ra found a bench close to the door of each store and Hamilton found this...

HAMILTON ON THE RECORDER

This is Hamilton playing his recorder on PTA day at Harmons. I'm holding the camera and my hands shake...sorry. I wouldn't be me if my hands didn't tremor.

Hamilton memorized all his songs so he didn't have to look at the music. That's why he's standing up. This song was his favorite one. When they were finished with their recorders they sang and danced. That video is on the other camera and the files are too big to upload to the blog. But they are really fun.

Good job Hamilton!

STAHELI FARM FIELD TRIP

Yesterday Hamilton went on a class field trip out to Staheli Farm. Mom got to go with him and was able to take a few pics.
The best is the fat pig! Wouldn't that be a nice life?!!

Post Script - I did run out to the Staheli Family Farm during my lunch break. It was a great adventure. I love this activity. The kids learn great things about farms and agriculture. Farms are so neccessary and I love this one. Anytime I can hang out there is always dreammy.

Karate kicks and 3 pointers.

Earlier tonight Hamilton graduated from green belt...to green belt with a black stripe.
*[Hamilton just told me that it's called high green, and not green belt with black stripe.]
He got to show off the progress he's made, and do some sweet kicks. It was pretty exciting to watch.
He's got his eyes set on being a black belt!
Watch out!

After the many roundhouse kicks, air puches, and hi-yas! we rushed over to catch Asa's basketball game.
I'm convinced that someday he'll be pro! He had 3 shots around or behind the 3-point area [obviously I'm not up to par on my bball terms].. but he sunk each one! Sadly I didn't get it on film, but I have a feeling it's not the last time he'll pull that off.
He had the other parents cheering him on, and the other team in shock.
Go Asa!!

Born only 1 week before Christmas he is our JOY TO THE WORLD. He loves sports and is really good at soccer and karate. He started violin lessons in November 2007 and enjoys playing it. He is a very good student and is kind to everyone. He teaches us love and goodness and he makes us all laugh. Hamilton loves to cuddle and he keeps me warm at night.
